ACTS OF PARLIAMENT

The following pages comprise an index to the Local Acts of Parliament applicable to the present area of the City of Plymouth and Public Acts that are defined as Acts of Limited Application.  It also includes some Acts, mainly concerning roads and railways, which applied to the approaches to Plymouth or to the whole of the County of Devon.  For example, the Exeter and Saltash roads are included as are all the South Devon Railway Acts but not the Bristol and Exeter Railway.  For completeness, the list also includes a huge number of Great Western Railway, South Western Railway, Southern Railway, British Railways, British Transport Commission, British Transport Docks, and Post Office (Sites) Local Acts which may not directly involve sites in Plymouth.
