Then some new branches were opened:

  • Dean's Cross, Plymstock, in 1931 (part-time);
  • 74 Embankment Road, Prince Rock, in 1938.

In 1949, after the Second World War, further branches were opened at:

  • 8 Moorshead Terrace, Tavistock Road, Crownhill;
  • 34 Ridgeway, Plympton.

A further branch was opened at Kingsbridge in 1955.
