GLOUCESTER STREET METHODIST CHAPEL, DEVONPORT

The Gloucester Street Wesleyan Chapel was located on the north side of Gloucester Street, Devonport, at   the corner with Charlotte Street.   It was also known as the New Passage and Morice Town Chapel.  

It was was built 1811 at a cost of £4,500.   The Chapel was registered as a place of worship on May 9th 1812.

The Chapel was enlarged in 1838.

In 1887 the Gloucester Street Chapel was leased by the Salvation Army from the St Aubyn estate.
