The Hope Methodist Chapel belonged to the United Methodist Free Church and was located on the south side of Ebrington Street, between Norley Place and Green Street, on the corner of Green Street. The Cobourg Memorial Hall was alongside. It was rebuilt in 1897 at a cost of nearly £6,000 but destroyed in the Second World War.
