KING STREET METHODIST CHAPEL

MEMORIAL STONES

The names of the twelve young children who were due to lay the small stones at the Memorial Stone ceremony on Wednesday October 3rd 1894 were (in alphabetcial order):

Ethel Davis
Mabel Gaud
Florence Griffin
Nellie Hannaford
Olive K Hosking*
Winnifred M Jolliffe
Gladys Roseveare
William Spearman
Nellie M Venning*
Victor R Winnicott
Violet Winnicott*

*Mrs Lydia Sweet, Mrs Olive Mitchelmore, Mrs Nellie Gould and Miss Violet Winnicott were also present on Wednesday Jul 18th 1956 when the foundation stone of the new post-war building was laid.
