MYSTERY CLOCK AT THE CORN EXCHANGE An interesting question has been posed by a Mr John Mills. When he was a teenager in Plymouth during the 1950s, he recalls seeing a clock in a shop window, possibly in the old Corn Exchange building, which had no apparent mechanism and no obvious power source. The clock was attached to the window and two hands, the minute one being around two feet in length. He spent a lot of time looking at this clock and wondering how it worked. If you are able to cast any light on the identity of the shop or the clock maker or the way in which the clock worked (no speculation please, factual knowledge only!), please reply to brianmoseley@plymouthdata.info. Please do not enclose anything with your initial e-mail as unannounced messages with attachments are deleted without being read in case they contain a virus. Thank you for your assistance.
