JANE WESTCOTT'S BEQUESTS

Jane Westcott, by her will dated February 13th 1862, proved at Exeter on May 7th 1862, bequeathed £500 to the Treville Street Unitarian Chapel to be applied towards repairs to the Chapel and school, for any other purposes connected with the Chapel and towards the payment of the minister's salary.  Additional money was to be raised from the sale of her household goods and effects.

The total amounted to £563 6s 3d and this was used towards the cost of erecting the schoolroom, offices and vestry in or around 1874.
