PLYMOUTH CHURCHES  |  METHODIST CHAPELS

CAMEL'S HEAD METHODIST CHAPEL

Camel's Head Methodist Chapel was located on the eastern side of Wolseley Road, adjacent to where the Weston Mill Halt was on the Southern Railway.  It backed on to the Devonport & District Tramways Company's depot.

Services were held in a corrugated iron temporary building that was apparently erected in 1907 for the Wesleyans.  As this coincides with the opening of the Keyham Methodist Chapel, the iron building was presumably the one that their congregation had used up until that time.

It was still in use in 1913 but was closed by 1934.
