LOOK-OUT HOUSE

The Look-out House is situated on Plymouth Hoe.

On Thursday June 14th 1877, Mr Robert Hodge, CE, Surveyor to the Corproation of the Borough of Plymouth invited builders 'and others' to submit tenders 'for erecting a look-out house on the Hoe'.   Specifiactions of the works required were available from the Municipal Offices until June 19th and tenders had to be submitted to the Borough Surveyor's office on or before 11am on Wednesday June 20th 1877.
