PLYMOUTH'S MAYORS AND LORD MAYORS

The names that follow have been transcribed from C W Bracken's "A History of Plymouth", Doctor William Yonge's "Plymouth Memoirs" and more modern sources.

Before the Charter of Incorporation in 1439 the leading citizen was known as either the Mayor or the Prępositus.
