MEMORIALS AND MONUMENTS  |  PLYMOUTH WAR MEMORIAL

ROLL OF HONOUR

Updated:  24 March 2011

The names that follow have been transcribed from "The Tribute of Plymouth to Her Glorious Dead" that was published for the unveiling ceremony of the Plymouth War Memorial on Saturday May 19th 1923.  The names are in the order in which they were printed, which is sometimes not alphabetically in order.  Two of the same names and initials indicates two individuals.

The wreaths and flowers on the Plymouth War Memorial on the day it was unveiled.

On the cover of the programme appeared the words: 'In the sight of the unwise they seemed to die, and their departure is taken for misery, and their going from us to be utter destruction but they are in peace, for God proved them and found them worthy for himself'  [From the Wisdom of Solomon iii 1-8]
