NATIONAL OMNIBUS & TRANSPORT COMPANY Ltd

MOTOR BUS ROUTE "204" and "204A"

PLYMOUTH to CROWNHILL
and DEVONPORT to CROWNHILL

On Sunday January 1st 1928 the National Omnibus & Transport Company took over the Devon Motor Transport Company's services from Plymouth to St Budeaux and Devonport to Crownhill.

When service numbers were introduced in June 1928 these became services 204 and 204A.

The timetable for service 204 from January 1929 was:

From Plymouth at (Weekdays) 7.30am, 8.10am, 8.40am, 9.40am, (Weekdays and Sundays) 10.40am, 11.40am, 12.40pm, (Weekdays only) 1.10pm, (Weekdays and Sundays) 1.40pm, 2.10pm, 2.40pm, 3.10pm, 3.40pm, 4.10pm, 4.40pm, 5.10pm, 5.40pm, 6.10pm, 6.40pm, 7.10pm, 7.40pm, 8.10pm, (Wednesdays and Saturdays only) 8.40pm, (Weekdays and Sundays) 9.10pm, 9.40pm, 10.10pm and (Wednesdays and Saturdays only) 10.40pm.

Buses left Corwnhill 15 minutes later and Honicknowle 20 minutes later.

From St Budeaux at (Weekdays) 8.10am, 8.40am, 9.10am, 10.10am, (Weekdays and Sundays) 11.10am, 12.10pm, 1.10pm, (Weekdays only) 1.40pm, (Weekdays and Sundays) 2.10pm, 2.40pm, 3.10pm, 3.40pm, 4.10pm, 4.40pm, 5.10pm, 5.40pm, 6.10pm, 6.40pm, 7.10pm, 7.40pm, 8.10pm, 8.40pm, (Wednesdays and Saturdays only) 9.10pm, (Weekdays and Sundays) 9.40pm, 10.10pm, 10.40pm, and (Wednesdays and Saturdays only) 11.10pm.

Buses left Crownhill 10 minutes later.

The timetable for service 204A in 1929 was:

From Devonport at (Weekdays only) 7.58am, 8.58am, 9.58am, (Weekdays and Sundays) 10.58am, (Sundays only) 11.58am, (Weekdays and Sundays) 12.05pm, 12.45pm, 1.58pm, 2.58pm, 4.05pm, 4.48pm, 5.58pm, 6.58pm, 7.58pm, 8.58pm, and 10.15pm.

From Crownhill at (Weekdays only) 8.40am, 9.40am, 10.40am, (Weekdays and Sundays) 11.40am, 12.25pm, 1.10pm, 2.40pm, 3.40pm, 4.40pm, 5.40pm, 6.40pm, 7.40pm, 8.40pm, 9.40pm and 10.40pm.

National's service 204 became Western National's service 81.
