MOTOR BUS ROUTE "209" and "209A" PLYMOUTH to TOTNES On Sunday January 1st 1928 the National Omnibus & Transport Company took over the Devon Motor Transport Company's service from Plymouth to Totnes. The 209 ran direct via South Brent and the 209A ran via the Carew Arms and Avonwick. The timetable for service 209 from January 1929 was:- From Plymouth at (Weekdays only) 8.15am, 10.30am, (Weekdays and Sundays) 11.30am, 12.30pm, 2.30pm, 3.30pm, 4.30pm, 6.30pm, 7.30pm, (Saturdays and Sundays only) 8.30pm, (Weekdays and Sundays) 9.35pm and 11pm. From Totnes at (Weekdays only) 8am, 10am, 12 Noon, 1pm, 2pm, 4pm, 5pm, 6pm, 8pm, 9.30pm and (Saturdays and Sundays only) 10pm. The timetable for service 209A via Avonwick was:- From Plymouth at 9.30am, 1.30pm and 5.30pm. From Totnes at 11am, 3pm, and 7pm.
