MOTOR BUS ROUTE "216" PLYMOUTH to KNIGHTON and WEMBURY On Sunday January 1st 1928 the National Omnibus & Transport Company took over the Devon Motor Transport Company's service from Plymouth to Yealmpton and Wembury. When service numbers were introduced in June 1928 this became service 216. The timetable from January 3rd 1929 was:- From Plymouth at (Weekdays only) 7.30am to Knighton only, arrive 7.58am; 8.45am, (Sundays only) 9.30am, (Weekdays only) 10.30am, (Weekdays and Sundays) 12 Noon, 2.05pm, 4pm, 5.10pm, 7.30pm, (Mondays to Fridays and Sundays only) 9.15pm, and (Saturdays only) 10pm. From Wembury at (Weekdays only) 8am from Knighton only; (Weekdays only) 9.45am, (Sundays only) 10.15am, (Weekdays only) 11.15am, (Weekdays and Sundays) 1.15pm, 2.55pm, 4.55pm, 6.20pm, 8.15pm, (Mondays to Fridays and Sundays only) 9.15pm, and (Saturdays only) 10.35pm.
