NATIONAL OMNIBUS & TRANSPORT COMPANY Ltd

MOTOR BUS ROUTE "217"

PLYMOUTH to ERMINGTON and IVYBRIDGE

On Sunday January 1st 1928 the National Omnibus & Transport Company took over the Devon Motor Transport Company's service from Plymouth to Yealmpton, Ermington and Ivybridge.

When service numbers were introduced in June 1928 this became service 217.

The timetable from January 3rd 1929 was:-

From Plymouth at (Weekdays only) 9.30am, (Weekdays and Sundays) 12.30pm, 3.30pm, 6.25pm and 9.30pm.

From Ivybridge at (Weekdays only) 7.40am, (Weekdays and Sundays) 11.10am, 2.20pm, 4.35pm and 7.40pm.  Buses left Ermington 13 minutes later for Plymouth.

National's service 217 became Western National's service 98.
