NAVAL AND
MILITARY RECORD
One of the more specialised newspapers to be published in Plymouth was the Naval and Military Record and Royal Dockyards' Gazette. The first issue appeared on April 15th 1886 and it continued until November 12th 1936 after which it was amalgamated with the Army, Navy and Air Force Gazette and from November 19th 1936 became the United Services' Review. It was then published in London until September 28th 1939. Its later publication is out of the scope of this website. Plymouth Central Library has a complete run of the Naval and Military Record and Royal Dockyards' Gazette on microfilm. Sources:
