SOUTH DEVON TIMES, PLYMPTON DISTRICT TIMES, IVYBRIDGE GAZETTE AND MOORLAND CHRONICLE

New version: February 27th 2014

The South Devon Times, Plympton District Times, Ivybridge Gazette and Moorland Chronicle, formerly the Plympton and South Devon Times, and Ivybridge Gazette, was published weekly on Thursdays between 1930 and 1983.

As it was a continuation of the earlier newspapers, it started at issue number 466 dated Thursday March 6th 1930.  It continued, more commonly known by the shorter South Devon Times title, until Thursday April 7th 1983, when it was merged with other free newspapers to become, from April 14th 1983, the South Devon and Plymouth Times on the one hand and the Ivybridge and South Devon Times on the other.
