WESTERN GLOBE AND DEVON & CORNWALL ADVERTISER
The first issue of the Western Globe and Devon and Cornwall Advertiser was published by Messrs Thorne Brothers, of Union Street, Plymouth, on March 2nd 1872. It was priced at one halfpenny. On December 31st 1872 the newspaper opened an office at 79 Union Street, opposite the Saint James's Hall. The Western Globe only lasted until July 1873. Sources:
