CAN YOU HELP?

Created:  27 January 2012

If you are a descendant of Mr John Haddy, Mr John Edwin Perraton, Mr John Griffin or Mr James Edwin Stanmore then you may be able to confirm, or indeed correct, the information about these gentlemen of the webpage you have just visited.

Do you know more about the Mr Anderson who owned the Jersey cows?

When exactly did Mr Haddy retire and Mr Perraton take over the bakery?

Likewise, when exactly did Mr Perraton retire and Mr Stephens take over the shop as one source says it was in 1908 and another that it was 1911?

Can you tell me any more about Mr John Griffin as he was post-census and therefore has been difficult to trace?

When exactly did Messrs Uglow's Bakeries take over the shop and what happened to Mr Griffin?  Perhaps he retired or did he go to work for Uglow's instead?  When  did he pass away?

Does the notebook with the secret recipe still exist?

Did you or an ancestor take part in the Good Friday pilgrimage and have some specific memory or it?

If you can through light on any of these questions or provide any other information about this subject, please contact me at the email address: brianmoseley at plymouthdata dot info.  Please use the subject heading "Ridgeway Bun" or your message might be disregarded.  All serious messages will be answered.
