The following statistics show the number of tickets, excluding season tickets; the number of season tickets sold and the receipts generated at Plymouth's Millbay Station. The number of staff employed at the Station was 210 in 1903 and although it reached its peak, with 267, in 1929 even when it fell back it was still employing 237 people in 1938, and they would have been mostly male. These figures originated from Mr C R Clinker (1906-83), Great Western Railway historian.
