PLYMPTON STATION (SDR)

Plympton Station was located between Cornwood and Mutley Stations on the Great Western Railway main line.  It was adjacent to Boringdon Road, Plympton.  Station Road led to it from the main shops in the Ridgeway.

The Station was built by the South Devon Railway and opened on Thursday June 15th 1848.

Plympton Station was closed from Monday March 2nd 1959.
