SUTTON HARBOUR LSWR BRANCH (BRSR)

CLOSURE

In keeping with the local policy that everything that was ex-British Railways Southern Region was an unneccessary duplication of Western Region track, the Southern Region branch to Sutton Harbour was the first of the two serving the Harbour to be closed.

The signal box at the Sutton Road Level crossing was removed in November 1950 and the track to the Friary side of the Sutton Road Level Crossing was removed in 1957.
