  • 5 - James Ireland, consulting engineer; Richard B Johns, solicitor; John Thomas Luscombe, artist; Samuel Luscombe, carver and gilder; Plymouth Mendicity Society, Mr John Edward Edmunds, officer and collector; and Plymouth Provident Dispensary;

  • 6 - Rooker, Matthews, Harrison & Matthews, solicitors; William N Pearce, accountant; William Adams, solicitor; John Pearse Dobell, solicitor; Henry Tucker, solicitor; and Reginald Kelly, solicitor;

  • 7 - NL;

  • Here was Courtenay Street

  • 19 - John Moore Suett, picture dealer; and the Wesleyan and General Assurance Society, Mr Robert C S Jarman, district superintendent;

  • 20 - Joseph Hore, draper;

  • 21 - Philip Luscombe, confectioner;

  • 22 - Samuel Lowman, boot maker;

  • 23 - John Brock, watch maker;

  • 24 - Edward Western, butcher;

  • 22-24 - probably over or at the rear of, Perriton & Sons, timber merchants and lathe dealers;
    (It appears that this also included Mr Edward Perriton, joiner and builder, who resided in King Gardens.)

  • Here was Raleigh Street

  • Phillips & Bray, corn and forage merchants;

  • Here was Queen's Lane and King Street.

North side (running from King Street and Cambridge Street towards Russell Street:

  • Frankfort Buildings - 1 - William Henry Marshall, beer house; 2 - Benjamin Nodder, cabinet maker; 3 - Alfred Henry Hetherington, chemist; and 4 - Mark Jacobs, jeweller;

  • Here was Willow Street

  • 25 - Frederick Tucker, grocer;

  • 26 - Richard R Monk, jeweller;

  • 27 - Richard Hellings, boot maker;

  • 28 - John Hoskins, china and fine art dealer;

  • 29 - George Edgecombe, beer house;

  • 30 - Richard H Rendle MPS, chemist, with Frederick S Hamley living over;

  • 31 - John M Dillon, pawnbroker;

  • 32 - Delafield & Son, boot makers, with Mr William Delafield and Mr Charles B Delafield living over;

  • 33 - Richard Delafield, ironmonger;

  • 34 - George Baker, beer house;

  • 35 - Digory Harry, fruiterer;

  • 36 - Frank Harvey, baker;

  • 37 - John Cox, furniture dealer;

  • 38 - Fountain Inn, Robert Anthony Ager, victualler;

  • 39 - Andrew Rohrer, watch maker;

  • 40 - William George Courtis, market gardener, and Samuel Davie, watch material dealer;

  • Here was Arch Lane

  • 41 - Frankfort Steam Brewery, George Ryall, brewer;

  • 42 - William N Elliott, ironmonger;

  • 43 - Misses Bessie and Janie Lee, bakers, and John W Barter, printer;

  • 44 - C Kressinger & Son, jewellers, with Mr Christian Kressinger living over, and Abraham Cohen, pawnbroker;

  • Here was Russell Street.

NL = Addresses not listed.  These were usually let on short-term tenancies and therefore not listed in street directories.
