The Quaker School of Industry was described in 1812 as 'a small establishment kept in a private house house in St Andrew Street. Some ladies of the Society of Quakers have been particularly attentive to the affairs of this little seminary, and they have the satisfaction of seeing many of those educated by them filling their stations respectably in life. This seminary is likewise supported by voluntary subscription and deserves the public support'. Nothing further is known at present.
