TURNCHAPEL NATIONAL SCHOOL, PLYMSTOCK

The Turnchapel National School was opened in 1861 or 1862 in a building in Turnchapel that it is thought was formerly a chapel.

It was taken over by the Devon County Council as from September 3rd 1930 but on May 8th 1931 the pupils were transferred to the Hooe Elementary School. 

The School closed on September 30th 1931.
