DEAN CROSS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Dean Cross Elementary School was was situated near Dean Cross, Plymstock. It was formerly the Dean Board School, run by the Plymstock School Board, until it was taken over by Devon County Council as a result of the reorganisation of education brought about by the Education Act 1902. Dean Cross Elementary School was closed down in April 1911 and the juniors transferred to Oreston Elementary School. The senior pupils went to Plymstock Senior Mixed School. The School building was demolished in 1977 to make way for Plymstock Broadway Shopping Centre.
