HOOE COUNTY JUNIOR SCHOOL
On January 10th 1938 the Devon County Local Education Authority reopened the Hooe Elementary School as the Hooe County Junior School. The senior children, aged from 10 years and 7 months to 14 years were transferred to the reconstructed Plymstock Senior School. The Headmaster was Mr A W Rabley. There were 131 pupils aged up to 10 years and 7 months on the register but only 116 were in attendance on the first day of term. As a result of the reorganisation brought about by the Education Act 1944, from April 1st 1945 the school became Hooe County Primary School.
