CATTEDOWN ROAD ELEMENTARY  SCHOOLS

Following the transfer of responsibilities for education from the Plymouth School Board to the Plymouth Local Education Authourity, as from April 1st 1903 the former Cattedown Road Board Schools became the Cattedown Road Elementary Schools.

In 1935 the Headmaster of the senior boys' school was Mr D Donahue; the Headmsitress of the senior girls' school was Miss M Bancroft; the Headmistress of the mixed junior school was Miss F S Inskip; and the Headmsitress of the infant school was Miss C J How.

After the damage caused by the Second World War and the reorganisation brought about by the Education Act 1944, as from Sunday April 1st 1945 the School was redesignated the Cattedown Road Primary School.
