LAIRA GREEN SECONDARY MODERN SCHOOL

Laira Green Secondary Modern School was situated in Bevereley Road at Laira, Plymouth.

In accordance with the Education Act 1944, the School was formed on April 1st 1945 from the Senior Department of the Laira Green Elementary School.

The Headmaster of Laira Green Secondary Modern School in 1955 was Mr H Rickard BA.

Laira Green Secondary Modern School closed in July 1985 as the result of falling roll numbers and the opening of new comprehensive schools.  [1]
