HYDE PARK PRIMARY SCHOOL

Following the reorganisation brought about by the Education Act 1944, Hyde Park Elementary became Hyde Park Primary School while the senior boys and girls became Hyde Park Secondary Modern School.

One notable occurence was the visit in 1948 of the BBC radio "Down Your Way" team.

The Headmaster of the junior school in 1955 was Mr F W Buckley and the Headmistress of the infant school was Miss A Cocks.
