SUNDIAL

The 27 foot high "gromen" of stainless steel is set in a pool of water 21 feet in diameter.   It cost £70,000 and weighs 12 cwt.

It was designed by architect Carole Vincent from Boscastle in Cornwall and was unveiled by Her Majesty the Queen on Friday July 22nd 1988.

It runs one hour and seventeen minutes behind local clocks.
