Tamerton Foliot, sometimes spelt Tamerton Foliott, is a village and parish to the north of the parish of Saint Budeaux and part of it is now within the Plymouth City boundary. The parish church is dedicated to Saint Mary. Places within the Parish of Tamerton Foliot The following houses, farms and public houses/inns were within the Parish of Eggbuckland: Alwyn View; Ashleigh; Bellavour Farm; Berry Farm; Birdcage Farm; Blaxton Farm; Broadley; Bulteels Bickham Farm; Cann House; Charity Bickley Farm; Clittaford Farm; Coombe Farm; Denmark Cottage; Down House; Dunsbear Farm; Green Bank House; George Hotel; Haxter Gate; Haysend Farm; Henshires Farm; Henwell Farm; Horsham Farm; King's Arms Public House; Langley Farm; Looseleigh House; Manor Mills; Maristow Barton; Maristow House; North Broadley Farm; North Combe Farm; Plymouth Broadley Farm; Porsham Farm; Pound Farm; Powisland; Powisland Villa; Queen's Arms Public House; Roborough Farm; Seven Stars Inn; Southway Farm; Torr; Trehills Farm; Upland; Vicarage; Wadlands; Warleigh Farm; Warleigh House; Westbrook; Whitsom Farm; Widewell Farm. At the time of the census on Sunday March 31st 1851, the Parish of Tamerton Foliott (as it was then spelt) was 1,147. This comprised 549 males and 598 females. There were 233 inhabited properties in the Parish, along with 17 uninhabited and one under construction. The population of the Parish had decreased by 67 since 1841. Lords of the Manors There Lord of the Manor of Tamerton Foliot in 1870 was Mr Walter Coplestone Radcliffe, JP, of Warleigh House. Overseer of the Poor

Railway Station Tamerton Foliot Station was officially opened on December 21st 1897 and opened for public traffic on the following day. Station Road was built in conjunction with it. [1] Sources:
