THEATRES

ATHENAEUM THEATRE

Updated:  19 September 2011

The original Plymouth Athenaeum was destroyed during the Second World War.

It was rebuilt as part of the post-war reconstruction and opened in May 1961.  It includes a small, 350-seat theatre, which is still used today by amateur groups.
