GLOBE THEATRE
In about 1820 an old racquet court and hay loft at the Royal Marine Barracks in East Stonehouse was transformed in to the Globe Theatre, taking its name from the globe and laurel insignia used by the Royal Marines. It has been renovated several times and is still in use. Sources (incomplete):
